Trail #11 - [video]

_{[Hello Johto, today you're treated with a quite terrible photo of a tree, and also Miguel's vaguely frantic voice]}

Aaargh hell! What happened now? Did I break it? Did I- _{[The photo time-outs and the 'Gear switches back to video mode. You can clearly see that, yes, there is a big tree right there in view and there is something blue in it]}

Oh, it's back to normal now?

Yes it is! Great! What was that, really? Suddenly the screen-thing froze, does anyone know why?

Anyway! Now!

_{[And the view zooms in on the blue thing in the tree that just so happens to be Tulio.]}

Behold! One of nature's wonders! A monkey-person!

[Henry flickers onto the feed and after hesitating a moment, pipes up.]}

That's the camera feature. You can take and store photos.

Ooh, spectacular!

So that freeze-frame thing was a photo, then? It looked like a really good painting, incredibly life-like _[8DD]

They take up less space than videos.

Okay, so they're like.. kept inside the 'Gear after you've taken them? How do I look at them?

_{[Calling over his shoulder. DID HE HEAR YOU RIGHT MIGUEL. WHAT DID YOU CALL HIM. Casually climbing up further though to try to get his goddamn bird down from that branch that's impossibly high up.]}

Nothing! Nothing at all! Just documenting your heroic efforts to the rest of the world!

There should be a menu when you first touch the camera button that lets you pick between 'new picture' and 'review'. Look at review and they should be there.

_{[Those were probably the longest sentence Henry has said to a stranger in a month.]}

What- you're filming? _{Pico, come on...

[Why would you do that though, seriously.]}

_{[Just wait a few seconds when he tries it out... and then he cracks a huge smile. brb taking all the photos]}

And if I pick 'new picture' I can take more photos. _{[Splendid deduction skills right there]}

This is amazing! Back in Spain, artist would slave for months and their paintings wouldn't even be nearly as life-like as these 'photos' are!

Yeah, do you mind? I mean, your climbing skills are quite extraordinary. Besides, you're risking life and limb to save your bird, isn't that heroic?

_{[Which he's mostly muttering to himself. But he does call out again a second later:]}

_{[That's the Persian that's sort of looming beneath the tree, if you recall. Tulio would very much like to have him not eat the bird once he brings him down.]}

I'm fairly sure I've seen you before. Somewhere other than on the networks...

He's performing a daring rescue attempt!

[He's looking at the video for clues as to where they are because he kind of wants to come witness these shenanigans in person.]

Pico, his little bird friend. For reasons unknown, she won't or can't fly down by herself.

_{[Hard to tell because it looks like a generic route. But judging by the buildings far in the background, they're on the outskirts Ecruteak 8D]}

I don't forget faces.

Have you ever killed anyone? Or been the cause of someone's death, directly or indirectly?

The one that's on his head all the time?

[He sees those buildings, and he thinks he knows which side of Ecruteak they're on so he'll start walking in that direction.]

And you're just documenting this brave rescue, are you?

I'm wondering if there's somewhere you can get them printed from your gear, or if you've got to buy a normal camera for that.

What was what? The photograph? Looks like you just hit the "take photo" feature. For a minute I thought you'd done something serious from the way you were talking.

No.. No! No, I would never do something like that!

Aah, yes, photographs. They're like.. instant paintings, but they're so much more life-like! It's amazing.

That's because he's a monkey person. Not really a monkey, but not entirely a man either.
