Does anyone have a Pokémon they don't want? Because, uh.. I caught this Pokémon and I.. I don't want it - cause it hates me. So I was wondering...

Does anyone want a bu- I mean, Tauros?

I don't discard him! I just give him to someone who he'll hopefully like more.

[Oh now he gets it. Not that he really cares, but he might as well pursue this to the end.]

Then it is not a problem with the creature at all, but rather your distaste for them.

...No matter. There is no point to placing the blame on these creatures if they hate those who do not want them, however.

No no no, I don't hate him, and I really don't want to give him away! It's just that I can't handle him. I've tried, and believe me I know how to handle animals, but this one just... he doesn't like me. At all. I suppose I could try to train him anyway, but I thnk both he and I will be happier if I give him to someone else.

[It's pretty clear he doesn't really understand--and it makes him irritable. So he doesn't want to give him away but he doesn't like him but he doesn't want to use any sort of way to make him listen--]

...Then you are, in effect, deciding to discard your problem instead of finding any sort of solution.

At times we must all do things we do not want; why is that a consideration at a time such as this? You are the leader of these creatures. It is unacceptable to avoid your duty in this way.

But if it's my Pokémon that I caught, shoudn't I have the right to do whatever I want with it?

No. That is a disregard of your duty to that creature.

To make use of them to their full potential you must also train them as if they are your vassals.

Why exactly is it my duty?

Who said I have to train every Pokémon I catch?

For what other purpose do you catch them?

They fight for you--in that sense, they are your vassals and you are their leader. And you do not believe you have a duty to them?

I caught this one by accident and he doesn't want to fight for me at all.

An accident does not excuse you, just as mere wants do not excuse him.

This is why he must be taught.

Señor, you're not making any sense to me. At all.

It is not difficult to understand. You are the creature's leader--it is thus your duty to teach it and make proper use of it. If you are incapable of such a thing, you no longer have the right.

And who are you to stop me?

[He narrows his eyes as well, but--]

If you are not even capable of doing your duty, you are not worth my time. I would not bother to make the attempt.

Then why don't you go about doing your duty and leave me to treat my Pokémon the way I see fit, hm?

[There is a moment's pause as he scowls.]

It is not I who is incapable of controlling these creatures. Think on that.
