Trail #10 - [Video/Action for route 37 / near Ecruteak]

<sub>[Hello Johto! I suppose you're all fairly used to people getting their souls stolen by now huh? Well, Miguel isn't the most technology-savvy person on earth so he is blissfully unaware of what Shedinjas can do.]

[Which is why he dragged along Tulio to a nearby Route in order to look at them because Miguel is friend to all the animals Pokémons.]

[For the sake of why-the-hell-not he's also recording this, which basically means he turned on the 'gear and handed it to his Gabite. Said Landshark is for the record handling the 'gear fairly awkwardly, having no hands and all that.]

[What you can see at the moment is Miguel, dragging Tulio by his sleeve, and approaching a Shedinja. Whoops.</sub>

I don't trust them. They're CREEPY.

Oh but come one Tulio! Just one look! We've never seen these things before!

Oooh no. You're on your own, buddy.

<sub>[Aaaand while Tulio linefaces at a reasonable distance from the Shedinja, Miguel sneaks closer to it. And startles it. And as it flees, you all can guess what happens.]

[There's a pretty sickening thud as Miguel's lifeless body hits the ground, and the feed cuts out as the upset Gabite scrambles to his trainer]

[So after snatching the gear away from the Gabite - after having freaked out by Miguel for a bit - Tulio is pretty much nerves and panic right now too, so at least they have that in common when he looks mildly hysterical on his end of the feed.]</sub>

[Envy nods, and while he's trying to keep a normal expression there is definitely some hysteria around the edges and in his voice.]

_{[One of the few people in Johto he actually has some sort of relationship with. Great. Wonderful. He nods, tense, before turning the 'gear off and just sort of sticks by Miguel. Yeah, he's not exactly going anywhere.]}

[Envy will be showing up before too long, since he was running. He looks halfway relieved that at least Tulio hasn't gone and lost his soul in the length of time it took to find them.]

Hey. You haven't seen any more of those things, have you? [His expression is somewhere between angry and legitimately frightened in a way Tulio probably hasn't seen since Envy ate those berries or maybe on Halloween.]

<sub>[Yeah, he looks up and recalls those berries. Except this is worse. (And will only get even more worse.)]

[And this is easily the worst that's happened to him in Johto, with his best friend lying lifeless on the ground. The waver in his voice should be pretty understandable, as the fact that he looks sort of relieved to see Envy, too. There's a genuine flash of gratefulness in his face before he closes off in a sort of angry/panicky mix at the question.]</sub>

Just that one, which, apparently, took off with his soul.

[Envy shudders and nods.] I'd heard that's what they were doing.

We'll get the souls back. There has to be a way to. [No no no he didn't want this to turn out like it did with the first Lust when there was no way to fix what had been done besides for Envy to kill the other homunculus himself.]

_{[Rargh. Guess who gets aggressive to hide fear? Tulio does. He also gets pretty protective and is still keeping a hand on Miguel at all times in case he'll evaporate into thin air or something - honestly, it almost wouldn't surprise him right now.]}

[Envy just nods and moves to help carry Miguel. He really doesn't feel like being difficult at all right now.]

I don't know, there's been Gear messages about it all day. Nanao was the first I saw; I sent Xerxes and Juliet to get her.

After that, I was just looking for you guys. [And France, who he hadn't found or seen, much to his sudden terrified revelation. But he holds that back for now because he can't just drop Miguel and run off.]

_{[Wow, Tulio cares for people. He sounds genuinely wary, asking, like he doesn't really want to know. Sinking in, this is. Slowly.]}

[Once Tulio has Miguel's arms, Envy goes to lift his legs so that they can start carrying him back into town. As they walk, Envy stays alert, looking around for any more of those damn bugs.]

I don't know, they haven't gotten back yet. But she fell when it got her, and I think she was injured...the Center should be able to fix that, though.

[He thinks. He hopes.]

Miguel didn't get hurt, right?

_{[Tulio is mirroring that, keeping an eye out for the ghost bugs even as he's got most of his attention either on Miguel or Envy, as he talks. And Tulio is paying attention.]}

No, I don't think so, with the rain ... _{[The ground's pretty soft, so it shouldn't be too bad. Clears his throat, frowns lightly.]} He's been through worse. Well, aside from the whole soul-thing, but that's a minor setback.
