TRAIL #14 [action/video] 4TH WALL
[video]
[The video starts with 'Gear bouncing over the ground, as if it was dropped which it probably was if you consider what comes into view.]
[Perched on top of one of the high buildings typical of Saffron City is something large. Something enormous with big, black claws and small, green-glowing eyes, and it's leering right down at you.]
[There's a horrible sounds as the strange abomination leaps, the views is jumbled as the 'gear is hastily picked up and then abruptly turned off.]
[action]
A WILD STONE JAGUAR APPEARED
>Fight >Poké
>Item >Run
Can't escape!
Tulio and Miguel are running for their lives anyway because there's no stopping this thing. It seems to have it's lock-on targeted on them, and it's relentlessly crashing everything that gets in its way to get to them.
(Or, ignore the immense jaguar made of stone and ungodly magic and just have nonsensical 4th wall fun with us anyway /o/)

[It .. seems fairly calm?]
[Which is really, REALLY worrying, actually.]
[He picks up his pokégear through his pocket, only now thinking that he could check the map.]
no subject
What is that... that thing?
[Don't mind her, she's only trying to scramble up the side of the wall backwards.]
no subject
[He snaps it shut, apologetically, and shoots her an uncertain look but holds a hand up to show that no, it's okay. He's perhaps surprisingly perceptive, but he can relate to her reaction.]
It's-- a long story, but it's fine. I mean, I know it's crazy, but it's- well. Helpful. So let me just ...
[He opens it again, and yes, there's the faint glow from the menu, but he just wants to check the map, because it'll show him where he is. In over one and a half year here, he's learned to work the technology fairly well.]
no subject
S- so, what does it do? Is it magic?
no subject
Apparently not, but seriously, might as well be. It's ... it knows things. And lets you talk to people that aren't there.
[Which reminds him to call Miguel, as soon as he's got a location.]
And it has a map. So that should help.

How does a map help us kill a rock jaguar? I don't think it's going to fall to pieces if you refuse to tell it how many steps we are from El Dorado.

[But that comment actually makes him snort, and he shoots her an amused look - almost fond, really. He's reminded of why he fell for her charms to begin with. But he taps the screen of the gear pointedly, an eyebrow raised.]
Whoa hey, I'm finding us those cliffs of yours. Remember?
no subject
[YOINK!]
[Oh...kaaay. This thing makes no sense. Chel turns it every which way, trying to make heads or tails of the straight lines and boxes.]
no subject
[He can't help but watch her fight with it with some amusement, before he slides over (totally okay with this, too, for the record) and points out the lines and boxes to her.]
Not exactly, but- here. These mark roads. Those ... squares? Cities.
And that glowing spot thing, that's where we are.
[Here, have a grin.]
Told you it was useful.
no subject
Okay, but it doesn't even say what's around. Where's the city names and landmarks?
[And what in Xibalba is a road, Tulio, seriously.]
no subject
You touch them, you get the name down ... there.
[And he demonstrates. Touch screens - quite magical. He'd stopped questioning them for ages, but now when he's explaining it to her, he's again realizing just how weird they actually are. So he shrugs, leans into her subtly.]
Nuts, I know. Completely insane.
no subject
I guess it fits you perfect, then.
no subject
Hey, I resent that.
[Can't quite stop a smile of his own, though. Which is - well. He remembers seeing her last time things went crazy, but other than that, it's been a LONG time, and it's both a little awkward and comfortable to fall back into her presence.]
[He'll have to ponder that later, though. Probably.]
no subject
I guess I'll just have to make it up to you later.
