TRAIL #14 [action/video] 4TH WALL
[video]
[The video starts with 'Gear bouncing over the ground, as if it was dropped which it probably was if you consider what comes into view.]
[Perched on top of one of the high buildings typical of Saffron City is something large. Something enormous with big, black claws and small, green-glowing eyes, and it's leering right down at you.]
[There's a horrible sounds as the strange abomination leaps, the views is jumbled as the 'gear is hastily picked up and then abruptly turned off.]
[action]
A WILD STONE JAGUAR APPEARED
>Fight >Poké
>Item >Run
Can't escape!
Tulio and Miguel are running for their lives anyway because there's no stopping this thing. It seems to have it's lock-on targeted on them, and it's relentlessly crashing everything that gets in its way to get to them.
(Or, ignore the immense jaguar made of stone and ungodly magic and just have nonsensical 4th wall fun with us anyway /o/)

no subject
[Oh, right. Giant jaguar of doom. Chel's just... gonna duck behind you now, Tulio, hope you don't mind.]
So, what crazy evil witch-priest didja piss off this time?
no subject
[Frowns distractedly, though, when she says that. Fun story: he has no clue whose jaguar this is or why it's doing what it's doing. Oh, canon points, you so funny.]
So that's-
[...]
It's his? Tzek- .. what?
no subject
[And in an almost furious whisper, because dude, that thing's hearing is ridiculous, considering it's made of stone.]
Are you mental? How do you not remember a thing like that coming after you?
no subject
Oh believe me, there's no way I would forget something like THAT.
[Complete with throwing arm out in a loose gesture at somewhere-in-the-distance where that thing may or may not be.]
But I've never seen it before in my LIFE.
no subject
Yep. Mental.
[Sometimes, Chel wonders why she hangs around with these guys.]
Okay. So you're just gonna have to trust me when I say you've seen it before, and beaten it. Got any good ideas? Or a cliff? The bigger the better.
no subject
[He stares at her for a moment, though, because beating that thing? Hahaha ... yeah, no, seems kind of impossible. Also, she's clearly the crazy one here, not him.]
Right. Of course. Excellent.
You wanna know my plan? It's called stay down.
[That's plan A. He'll get to something decent in a sec, but he's out of touch with MONSTROUS STATUES, so excuse him.]
no subject
[Stay down is not a terrible plan. Not particularly useful, but not terrible.
And because the third wheel- or lack thereof- does need to be noticed at some point...]
So um... Where's Miguel?
1/2
[So he gives her a raised eyebrow and after another rumbling sound from - god, somewhere around, he backs further into wherever they are, a hand finding her shoulder again.]
2/3 I LIED
[And needs a double take.]
Oh, he-
...
[Wellp.]
3/3
[Face in HANDS, why does this keeps happening to him?]
(spoiler: mun got a life and will be back shortly. but in the meantime. :|b)
no subject
You lost him again, didn't you?
no subject
[He slumps back against the rock, mind frantic.]
I didn't- he's just- you- AUGH.
[Yeah, not super coherent right now, stand by a sec.]
no subject
[Right, then. Chel's going to cling to Tulio's arm and hope that thing doesn't decide to level all the buildings in the area before he gets his head straight.]
no subject
[And it takes him a few minutes, but he does take a deep steadying breath before too long, holding his hands up as if begging the world to stop for a moment. To let him think.]
No, okay, I'm fine. I'm good.
Plan: find Miguel. Uh, outrun that ... thing. Preferably not dying.
[He turns his head and watches her with a frown. Maybe a bit too close to comfort, but he doesn't really notice. He's thinking. About what she said. And thus, says slowly,]
.. Cliffs. Cliffs?
no subject
[Chel doesn't mind. She rather likes it when he's paying special attention to her. She's watching him closely, waiting to see that moment when his face makes that tell-tale switch from genuinely confused to working things through.
There it is!]
It's how you did it last time.
[May not be the most helpful bit of information, but it's a start!]
no subject
[He nods, again slowly, eyes narrowed as he turns around and leans out of their shelter. It's ... a park, or something, but the city is really close. He can't see the jaguar, or hear it, for the moment, but that only creeps him out even more.]
[Regrettably? No cliffs.]
Right. Okay. Got any more details?
no subject
Tzekel-kan could control it. You knocked them both in to the entrance to Xibalba. Poof! No more jaguar.
no subject
[But either way, it's a plan with merit. Because that thing looks heavy and he highly doubts it can swim.]
[-- but wait hold up a sec, what.]
Whoa, wait- we killed the High Priest?
no subject
no subject
Way too creepy.
no subject
[Because she really doesn't feel like talking about Tzekel-kan, if she's only got a few more minutes to live.]
no subject
[It .. seems fairly calm?]
[Which is really, REALLY worrying, actually.]
[He picks up his pokégear through his pocket, only now thinking that he could check the map.]
no subject
What is that... that thing?
[Don't mind her, she's only trying to scramble up the side of the wall backwards.]
no subject
[He snaps it shut, apologetically, and shoots her an uncertain look but holds a hand up to show that no, it's okay. He's perhaps surprisingly perceptive, but he can relate to her reaction.]
It's-- a long story, but it's fine. I mean, I know it's crazy, but it's- well. Helpful. So let me just ...
[He opens it again, and yes, there's the faint glow from the menu, but he just wants to check the map, because it'll show him where he is. In over one and a half year here, he's learned to work the technology fairly well.]
no subject
S- so, what does it do? Is it magic?
